The AATCA is the non-profit professional association representing the interests of Austrian civilian and military air traffic controllers.  

The AATCA’s declared goals are as follows:

• to maintain the common professional, social and health-related interests of Austrian civilian and military air traffic controllers

• to reduce the job-related risks of air traffic controllers

• to actively be involved in creating new professional procedures and technical developments; to work out new proposals to improve processes, equipment and facilities

• to maintain high standards in terms of the knowledge and skills of air traffic controllers

• to spread information and to further train members by means of discussion evenings and lectures by experts

• to cooperate closely with national and international representative bodies:

• to participate at IFATCA Annual Conferences, IFATCA Regional Meetings and IFATCA/EUROCONTROL workshops

• to exchange experiences and information with the Austrian Cockpit Association (ACA) and IFALPA

• to provide assistance and support in the event of an incident or accident

• to provide social security to ATCOs in the case of not being covered by the company:

• our members are covered by occupational risk insurance and by a legal defence fund up to a maximum amount.
